Welcome to my blog! My name is Aldis Plotnicov and I leave in Latvia. I am a student of Rezekne Polish secondary school.

I am interested in: Tech, Photography, Filmmaking, Language practice and also in graphical design which includes web design, poster design and calendar design, but my general specialization is web design. I started to make websites when I was 12 years old. My first website I made for my class in school, but unfortunately it wasn’t very popular for my classmates. But I didn’t stop making websites, I continued to do it.

In one day I thought that I need to learn some programming language, like PHP, because if you know it’s very important in for web developers. But I didn’t think that it will so hard to learn. And I washed out for the programming. And I started to interest more in web design. My first web designs were made in Microsoft office FrontPage, so that’s way they were very simple and primitive. In one day on a blog or forum (I don’t remember which of them) I red how it is easy to make designs in Photoshop and gave a tray. And it was really easy and simple. And I started to use Photoshop to create web designs and MS FrontPage only to convert the design in to HTML, I know that Photoshop also can do it, but it is easier for me. And now I use Photoshop not only to make web designs, but also to edit some of my photos.

In photography I started to interest on 2006, when I saw some of Andrey Zavadskiy photography’s. They were so interesting and amazing, that I can’t not to interest in photography. So I started to read some literature about it and I shoot my photos with Digital camera: Fujifilm Finepix A350. But I understood that I need a camera which will allow me to make some creativity in photography. So I started to reviews about some DSLR’S. I stopped on CANON EOS 400D which I got as a present on my birthday. But after few months I understood that I made a mistake in my choose. Because I consider that a DSLR isn’t for me or better is to say that I am not ready for it. Only the good think in this camera is good quality of the photo which allows to make a good cropping of it. I think that DSLR’S are made for rich people, because the upgrading of camera is expensive (For me I not talking here about tows who can afford it) and that’s way I suggest everybody who wants to start taking “creative photos” I suggest to buy an Canon G9 or Fujifilm FinePix S1000SD or similar cameras, because they are cheaper than DSLRS and they also allow you to do some creativity on your photo only minus is that that you cannot change the lens. I would sell my CANON EOS 400D and bought myself one of the cameras which I wrote, but I won’t get the full price of camera, because it’s used.

My interest in filming started first when I saw some of “KOMEDIA” works, KOMEDIA is the first and only teenagers filming company in Baltic’s. I think that is a great project and I am proud that it is founded here in my country Latvia. My first video clip I made with my photo camera Finepix A350, I was helping to my friends for me it was great practice and some information exchange.
On my 16^th birthday I bought an video camera. I was searching it very fast because after few days after my birthday I had to film a clip for a project. And dint have much money, so that’s way I choose an alternative of HDD camcorder and bought myself an camcorder which is and “Hybrid”, it uses memory card and also Mini DVD disc. And I am very happy with my camera it has good quality and it is easy to use. I am thinking on buying some extra accessories, like microphone and fisheye leans.
Since I upgraded my Desktop PC I started to learn and work in video montage software. Also I started writing some small, but film scripts. First film script I wrote in Sanatorium (I am visiting them) ,but unfortunately it the only film script which I have written(It’s the only completed) ,but I have some ideas for new scripts which I hope I will wrote and release.

Now in school I am learning three languages: Polish, English and a little bit German. I love them all because they are interesting and known in hall over the world.
If we will speak about the Polish language then I can say that it is little bit similar to Russian. This language (Polish) I am studying for 9 years (now is the 9th year) The most interesting is that the teacher is real pole. And I think it is a great step from our school, because many students want to know not only polish language and grammar, but also Polish culture, the things which a simple teacher can’t tell.
But if we will speak about German ,then I will say that it is very hard to find similar language to it ,maybe it can be English, but only few words or phrases. And after learning this language for 2.5 years, I can say that it is hard to learn it, but if you will learn it I think that you will remember one rule and it is “All nouns in German language are written with the big letter at the beginning of the word” (it’s the first rule which I memorize) but overall I think German is great language which is good to know. About German culture I know only little bit, but it is because I learn it as a facultative (not obligatory lesson)
And if we will speak about English language then I have nothing to say only that it’s great language.

In school I have participated in Olympiad and of course it was informatics and I got there second place and for this effort I thank my teacher. Now I am thinking about Microsoft exams, I know that it is a big step after a simple Olympiad, but I can gave a tray. This Microsoft exams gave everybody, who participates in them, a big possibilities in future.
If talk about my future plans , the profession I will choose, then I will say that in this case I have only thoughts, there is many places where I wanted to work, but I think (I hope) that they will be connected with my hobbies. The professions I would choose is: work in Google, because I think that it is the most popular company in the world and the office of Google is just fantastic. Second profession in my list is film director or script writer, It would be nice to work with people, create some art and show my ideas to the world. The third profession I would choose is web designer, because I like this staff, I like creativity and I also have some ideas which I would to create, but I need more practice on it, I must learn many things which I don’t know yet, but I hope soon I will know more about web design, it is because in now days there are many interesting and useful websites which help for new web designers and on the net are also many cool and useful staff for Pro’s.

I think many people who know me and perhaps you will ask, but why the photographer’s profession is not listed in my list. It is, because after 2 years of shooting I understood that it is hard to make a great photo for me and that’s way I strikethrough this profession of my list. But I did not stop shooting, I am continuing doing this and I will try to make good photos, and will happen a miracle that I will add this profession to my list back, but not now, I not ready for it.

About blogging

First blog which I sow was Latvian blog named Laacz (in English –Bear) and for today it is most popular blog in Latvia it has more than 1000 readers and I think that it is an example for Latvian bloggers – how to do this staff. Other example blog in Latvia is Onkulis (in English Uncle) blog and it was the second blog which I saw. This blogs have some interesting content in Latvian, which I suggest you to read, if only you understand Latvian. When I first saw a blog, as I said before it was Latvian blog –Laacz, I did not even imagine that it was a blog; I don’t even know what a blog is. But suddenly they become very popular they were as news portals for many readers. And I also started to read them, because they had great articles which weren’t like every news portal had, in the articles they wrote their opinion and suggested many things. I continue to read them now, because they are writing more and more interesting and useful information.
When I was chatting with a friends on Skype I understood that I am writing many, and I am telling my opinion and so that’s way I started to do this thing. I have something to say for people, and it is only place where can I find people who will listen to my and also I hope that many people will discuss with me the themes, which I am writing about and that’s way I ask you to comment and don’t be afraid to comment, but also you have to observe some rules.
